ABOUT THE PROGRAM & PRESENTER

EDUCATION SESSION
This session will provide HR practitioners with:

  • Deciphering the multiple agencies involved in employer sponsored health plans
  • Determine which rules apply to you, and quantify your risk of non-compliance
  • Create an action plan to tighten up your compliance and reduce your risk
  • Prepare an employer response in advance of a DOL audit
  • Establish an ongoing review process, and make the case for additional resources from your C-Suite
  • How to remain informed of ongoing changes

Greta Engle - Greta Engle is currently an Employee Benefits Producer for BB&T Insurance Services. In a career spanning 25 years, Greta has worked with regional and national employers in benefit plan consulting, funding alternatives, strategic planning, benefit plan compliance, and high-level benefit plan administration and communication. She is a sought after speaker at business gatherings for her perspective on employee benefit trends and challenges in an era of escalating health care costs. Greta has authored many articles for business and industry journals. She has also testified on behalf of SHRM & CHRA at the Maryland General Assembly and has forged relationships with House and Senate members on Capitol Hill. BB&T Insurance Services consists of a retail, wholesale brokering, captive insurance company, third party administrator, and claims with risk control consulting. Revenues in excess of $1.7 billion, make BB&T the 5th largest broker in the U.S. and 6th in the world.

Crystal Frey - Crystal Frey is currently the Vice President of Human Resources for Continental Realty Corporation. She has practiced human resources for over 20 years in various organizations and industries including in federal contracting and union environments. Crystal received her B.S. in Communications from Salisbury University and holds a Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources from the University of Baltimore. She also holds various professional certifications including the SHRM-SCP, SPHR and CCP. Crystal has a passion for creatively designed benefit plans that meet both organizational and individual objectives. Headquartered in Baltimore, Continental Realty Corporation is a privately-owned firm that owns and manages a diversified portfolio of retail centers and apartment communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions.
