ABOUT THE PROGRAM

It is critical for HR professionals to stay informed about employment law developments so that they can help their businesses stay compliant. During this informative session, we will review recent employment law developments, including a look at the recent flurry of NLRB reversals of Obama era anti-management decisions, recent DOL activity, new Maryland employment laws, including the most recent addition, Maryland’s Criminal Record Screening Practices (Ban the Box) law, which takes effect February 29, 2020, among other important Maryland law developments. The webinar will also address employment-related issues relating to the Coronavirus and give an overview of the D.C. Universal Paid Leave Amendments Act’s recently revised benefit regulations.  

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

 

Donna M. Glover is a shareholder and member of Baker Donelson’s Labor & Employment Group where she assists employers with matters relating to day-to-day management issues by helping to minimizing exposure, regularly conducts workplace investigations for employers, defends employers against charges of discrimination and wage complaints, and handles various forms of employment-related litigation. She represents a wide variety of clients, including construction, banking, property management, non-government organizations, and scientific and technology solution companies, and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Glover held human resources and management positions in the retail, wholesale, and advertising/marketing industries, bringing invaluable client-side experience to her practice. A graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, Ms. Glover is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Chesapeake Human Resource Association, as well as the Federal, Maryland, and District of Columbia State Bar Associations.

Members will receive a full refund, non-members who wish to attend the webinar will receive a refund minus the $20 webinar registration fee.
