The Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA) annual Spring Conference is a long standing tradition and a cutting edge event with approximately 450 attendees each year. The CHRA Spring Conference Committee is looking for breakout presenters (1.25 hours in length). Our attendees express a strong desire for presentations that are engaging, enjoyable and applicable in the “real world” of HR as well as Baltimore Metro HR trends and policies. This is your opportunity to present or exhibit in front of the local HR business community. In addition, our Spring Conference is a great way to network with professionals of all levels.

 

 

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Presentations should be thought-leading and inspiring sessions to give our attendees the best professional and cutting-edge information. Speakers who provide strategic content that supports the conference theme are preferred. Practical strategies for improvement, non-traditional approaches, best practices and case studies including implementation tools, and emerging trends are sought. Examples of topics we are requesting include, but are not limited to:  

  • Behavioral Competencies
  • Organizational & Employee Development
  • Coaching/Mentoring
  • Returning Citizens
  • Conflict Management & Resolution
  • Succession Planning
  • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Unconscious/Generational Bias

 

SELECTION PROCESS AND NOTIFICATIONS

The committee will review proposals and contact those whom they wish to schedule and also notify those who are not selected by December 20th. Some speakers may be asked to be a back-up speaker if they wish to do so. Because we try to balance the topics and presenters scheduled and respond to member interests, it is not always possible to schedule everyone who submits a proposal. Due to the amount of proposals received it is not always possible to give specific reasons why specific proposals were not selected

 

SUBMISSION PROCESS

To be considered as a presenter for our Spring Conference please download and complete this proposal form. All proposals must follow the format provided. Please email your form to info@chra.com no later than December 3, 2019. Submissions after this date will not be considered. Thanks for your interest in presenting for CHRA!

 

*Important note regarding honorarium and expenses: 
If selected, all presenters are responsible for their own program content, expenses (such as travel) associated with the speaking engagement, and applicable handouts. CHRA will work with the presenters on providing agreed upon audio/visual. CHRA, as a non-profit, does not supply honorarium to speakers or cover any travel expenses.

Our spring conference attracts over 450 Human Resource professionals from the Greater Baltimore area. Sponsor benefits include prime placement in general session area, early connection with attendees using the pre-conference attendee list, access to CHRA members after the conference and more! Download our sponsor/exhibitor form and email back to info@chra.com. Please remember that we can only accept a limited number of exhibitors and sponsors.

 

Sponsorship Levels:

  • Platinum - $5,000
  • Gold - $3,000
  • Silver - $1,500
  • Bronze - $1,000
  • Break Sponsor - $700
  • Exhibit Table $600 before February 3, 2020 / $650 after February 3, 2020

 

CHRA qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c) 6 of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, your sponsorship is not deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense depending upon your individual tax circumstances — please consult your tax advisor.

 

CONSENT CLAUSE

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, CHRA meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities by CHRA and other third parties, including but not limited the association, the venue, the host city, etc.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT
CHRA requires that all members and attendees abide by the association’s Code of Conduct while at CHRA events or while representing CHRA either directly or through apparent authority. By registering for this event, you agree to abide by CHRA’s Code of Conduct. If you believe that someone has violated the Code of Conduct, or if you would like to report an incident, please report to the CHRA staff person on site, or if not available, a board member on site.
