Many employees focus solely on work and give themselves a pass when it comes to healthy habits. Productivity takes a hit, as does overall health. A healthy workplace culture starts with HR professionals taking care of their own health and role modeling a healthy lifestyle for employees. This dynamic workshop will provide a plan to stay healthy and feel balanced vis-à-vis healthy eating, sleep hygiene, mindfulness and fitness.

Next, participants will learn quick and easy ways to create a healthy workplace that includes a micro-break encouraging culture, wellness messaging, and a self-guided wellness self-coaching program that fit into employees’ busy workdays. This hands-on workshop underscores the importance of self-care: putting health and oneself first because a healthy employee is a more productive and engaged employee. And healthy employees make for a healthy organization.  Take home healthy lifestyle tip sheets are included.

Dr. Kim Bercovitz (aka Dr. Kim) is a health behavior scientist who helps organizations create a healthy workplace culture that keeps employees engaged, productive and energized. Her company X bytes’ mission is to provide quick & easy ways to fit wellness and self-care into busy workdays – one-step or “byte” at a time.  Products include: an online wellness self-coaching course, video stretch micro-breaks, digital wellness tips, and online program delivery resources for HR.
Dr. Kim has a Ph.D. in Community Health and a M.S. in Exercise/Health Studies. She was an adjunct professor in public health at the University of Toronto and York University, research scientist at Toronto teaching hospitals, and a National Cancer Institute of Canada postdoctoral fellow. Trained in mindfulness-based stress reduction and a professional member of the National Speakers Association, Dr. Kim lives in the Washington DC area with her husband, 2 teens, and dog.
