CHESAPEAKE HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATION
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The CHRA College Relations Committee is devoted to stimulating, encouraging and supporting the development of student chapters at local colleges and universities. We serve as a liaison for these student chapters to the community of Human Resource Professionals. One purpose of this committee is to provide student recognition. In keeping with this purpose, the CHRA Student Chapter Committee has established a Scholarship Award Program, issuing one $1000 and one $500 Scholarships to selected recipients. Scholarships are awarded to applicants based on merit, acknowledging academic achievement and/or leadership accomplishments. In most cases, awarded Scholarship funds will be distributed directly to the Student's College or University. Eligible students who are graduating may also apply.

To be eligible, an applicant must be:

  • A full time undergraduate or graduate student, or a part-time student, currently working in non-exempt role
  • A CHRA Student Member

Submissions for the 2007-2008 scholarship season are due March 21, 2008. For an application, please click here.

For any questions regarding the CHRA Scholarship Award Program, please contact Deborah Hodges at (410) 767-2843 or dhodges@dbm.state.md.us.
