The Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA) is a non-profit Human Resources (HR) organization with nearly 600 members and two student chapters. CHRA is a local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. CHRA's mission is to educate, train and inform members while disseminating ideas and advancing the Human Resources discipline.
CHRA'S ANNUAL SPRING CONFERENCE CALL FOR PRESENTERS The Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA) is the largest and most active SHRM chapter in Maryland – with membership of over 500 Human Resource professionals and consultants. CHRA's annual spring conference is a long standing tradition and a cutting edge event. The conference attracts sponsorship from prestigious area employers. The Spring Conference features an extensive exhibit area. The 2011 platinum sponsor was Tower Federal Credit Union and our Gold Sponsors were Point Breeze Credit Union and the Baltimore Business Journal. The theme of this year's conference is: "Together We Build: HR is the Foundation" The Spring Conference committee is conducting a "Call for Presenters" for the conference. This is your opportunity to educate your HR peers on a topic about which you are passionate. In addition, the Spring Conference is a great way to network with professionals of all levels. The presenters will be facilitating 75-minute sessions during the conference. The sessions will be run concurrently and the attendees will be given options to attend each session. All proposals must follow the format on the attached document or it will not be considered. All proposals must be received no later than December 15, 2011. Selection of presenters will be made two to three weeks after the submission deadline. All potential presenters will be notified of their selection shortly thereafter. CHRA Job Board Looking to hire a talented HR professional? When you have a job opportunity available, remember CHRA has a valuable resource to post your opening. The CHRA Job Board allows postings from any company (CHRA members or not!) looking to hire in the HR field. Your opening will be viewed by potential employees who are interested and have a background in positions within Human Resources. We have gotten feedback from numerous employers after posting positions stating their success in finding candidates through our Job Board. Job postings can be sent to chra@assnhqtrs.com in an attached WordDoc or PDF, and should include company name, position title, city and state, and where/how to apply. Each posting will be listed on our site for 30 days, and will have a $100.00 fee, which can be paid by check or credit card.
