The Chesapeake Human Resource Association (CHRA) is a non-profit Human Resources (HR) organization with nearly 700 members and four student chapters. CHRA is the local chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management. CHRA's mission is to educate, train and inform members while disseminating ideas and advancing the Human Resources discipline.
a)
To be a recognized leader in human resource management; b) To provide high quality, dynamic and responsive programs and services to our membership; c) To be a voice of the profession on human resource management issues in the local area; d) To facilitate the development and guide the direction of the human resource profession in the local area, and to promote the highest standards of ethics and diversity; e) To encourage cooperation and networking among members and their organizations; f) To support the Society for Human Resource Management and its efforts to establish, monitor and update standards for the profession.
