HR Certification

HR Certifications

SHRM and HRCI

There are two organizations that offer human resources certifications: SHRM and HRCI. SHRM offers the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certifications, and HRCI offers the PHR, SPHR, and GPHR certifications. They are different certifications with different tests requiring different study materials. For a more detailed explanation of each of these certifications you should contact each provider to fully understand the requirements, costs, etc. You can also visit CHRA's blog article from 2014 about the differences in the certifications. We have also provided the eligibility requirements as of 2015, but you should still contact HRCI and/or SHRM to verify these details.
